As a member of the Engineering Team at Crimson Hexagon, you will be reporting to our QA Director while working closely with our developers to design, develop, implement and improve test methodologies, test plans and effective test automation.

We are looking for motivated, self-starting individuals with particularly strong oral and written communications skills that are able to quickly learn new applications, tools and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and report application defects (e.g. detail steps to reproduce expected and actual results) and assist with resolution (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc…)
  • Write and execute test cases and document results
  • Verify that corrective actions meet quality objectives
  • Write and execute SQL queries to assist in testing (Postgres, Oracle, MySQL etc…).
  • Identify and execute root cause analysis
  • View log files and assist developer in finding root-cause of the bug
  • Interact with developers to define scope of testing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related tech field
  • 3-5 years of experience in Software QA or technical field
  • Experience developing and executing manual tests, writing test cases, and documenting results
  • Experience testing in an Agile SCRUM environment
  • Experience with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution
  • Knowledge of SDLC and QA methods: unit, integration, functional regression and system testing
  • Knowledge of testing in various browsers
  • Highly driven, positive attitude, team player, self-motivated and very flexible
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Linux/Unix
  • Experience in Test Automation is a must (Selenium WebDriver preferred)
